We are neighbors. We are family. We are community.
Caritas Felices Community Services Canada was born from a simple idea: the Latin community in Toronto has much to give, and much to care for.
Our story
We formally incorporated as a federal nonprofit under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.
We started small, with little, because we saw that something was missing: a bridge between the culture we brought and the life we are building here.
What drives us
Mission, vision and values
Mission. Walk alongside the Latin community in Canada with programs that care for elders, inspire children, and build real connection.
Vision. A Latin community where no one is alone: where a kid has somewhere to play, a grandmother has someone to dance with, and a family has someone to ask for help.
Radical honesty. We don't inflate numbers or invent stories. If we're new, we say so.
Made with love. What matters can't be measured in metrics: it's measured by whether the lady down the street felt welcome.
Community first. Every decision goes through one filter: does this serve people, or does it serve us?

Our board
Our board is a volunteer board. No one is paid to be here, and its decisions are made in accordance with the organization's approved by-laws and governance policies. Soon you will meet each board member here: their name, their role, and why they are in this.
Transparency and organization
How we are organized, no fine print
Legal status. Caritas Felices Community Services Canada is a nonprofit incorporated federally under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. We are not yet a CRA-registered charity, so for now we don't issue tax-deductible receipts. We make this clear with every donation.
Governance. We are led by a volunteer board that makes its decisions in accordance with the organization's approved by-laws and governance policies. We'll soon publish each member's profile here (pending publication).
Policies. We publish our privacy, accessibility, and conduct policies in the Policies section of the site.
Financial information. We are in our first fiscal year. We currently have no paid employees; funds are used for approved programs and operating costs. We'll publish financial information as activity develops.
Annual reports. We don't have a published annual report yet; we'll publish it at the close of our first cycle.
Impact. We are beginning to record our metrics from real program data; we'll publish them here once verified, without inflating numbers.
Partners and funders. We don't have partners or funders to announce yet. When we do, they'll appear here with their recognition.
